The extension collects only the data necessary to provide its core functionality:

We do not collect browsing history, data from non-Facebook pages, passwords, payment information, or any data unrelated to Facebook Marketplace.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, credit assessment, or any purpose beyond providing the FBM Messenger service to you.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for commercial purposes.
Your data is transmitted only between your browser and the FBM Messenger API server (api.fbmmessenger.com) over an encrypted HTTPS/WSS connection. No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking services are included in the extension.
Message data synced to our servers is retained for as long as your FBM Messenger account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account from the dashboard. Upon account deletion, all associated message data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Locally stored data (auth token, account ID) is cleared immediately when you click Logout in the extension popup or uninstall the extension.
The extension only activates after the user explicitly installs it from the Chrome Web Store and logs in using their FBM Messenger credentials. No data is collected passively or without the user's knowledge. The user can disconnect at any time by clicking Logout in the popup or by uninstalling the extension.
All data transmitted between the extension and our API is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS/WSS). Authentication tokens are stored locally using the Chrome extension storage API and are never exposed to web pages. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data against unauthorised access.
